We surveyed 200 Indian mid-market employees about corporate Diwali hampers. Results were clearer than we expected.
What people actually want
- Premium dry fruit boxes — no one refuses. Shelf-life matters.
- Artisanal sweets in reusable boxes — the box becomes a keepsake.
- Decorative diyas + candles set — immediate home use.
- Plant-based Diwali kit — micro-succulent + hand-poured candle.
- Curated chai/coffee set — office-friendly, daily ritual.
What looks cheap (avoid)
- Plastic-heavy combos with generic brand stickers
- Oversized boxes with underwhelming contents
- Dry cookies in cellophane that crumble on arrival
The pattern: quality over quantity. Premium packaging + handwritten note beats a ₹2000 hamper with bubble wrap every time.
